The AZWR has many dogs that are rescued every month; not all of them are able to be listed on the website. Our goal is to match each dog to the perfect family, so we encourage you to apply even if you don't see a weimaraner right now. Applicants on our wait list receive higher priority on dogs as they are rescued.

Hi , do you recognize me? Probably  not. When I came into rescue over a year ago from the Humane Society I was in very poor shape!  Other animals had attacked me and I had sever internal injuries.  AZWR got me  doctors to do surgery , and I have had excellent care and love at my boarding facility.

Now I have a Big Problem and I need Help!  I have been here a long time. I see the others come and go and hear talk of their forever homes. They look at me but never pick me.  They say I am old and they want someone younger. I just want someone to love me and a nice quite soft bed. I love to walk.

I am good on my leash, I even like to play with toys. I really enjoy car trips too. I need a quiet home that is relaxed. I can be a long term foster and the rescue will help with the meds I take.  I would like a home all to myself. Do you have my home or know of someone?
