The Arizona Weimaraner Rescue is always in need of loving fosters for dogs that come in. Fostering is a commitment that should not be taken lightly. Here are some key things to know before you decide to foster.

- While fostering, you will care for the dog in the same manner as you would your own. This means food, care and training. Your responsibility is to help the dog be able to successfully transition to a forever home with a new family.
- The length of time a dog will need fostered varies widely. It may be a couple weeks or it may be multiple months. Many of these dogs have come from less than ideal situations and we do not bounce the dogs around since it is a detriment to them.
- Fostering a dog is not a way to bypass the application fee. If you do foster and decide to adopt the dog, you will still need to pay the full fee as this fee covers the vet expenses we incur for exams, vaccinations and any needed treatments.
