The AZWR has many dogs that are rescued every month; not all of them are able to be listed on the website. Our goal is to match each dog to the perfect family, so we encourage you to apply even if you don't see a weimaraner right now. Applicants on our wait list receive higher priority on dogs as they are rescued.
I was bought on a street corner by people who didn’t know much about dogs. They were told I was a Weimaraner. They had a DNA test and I am lots of things with a little Weimaraner mixed in. The people didn’t have much time for me, most of my time was spent in a crate. I am small, approximately 10 mos old, a little shy but learning to come out of my shell. I like being with people, walks, being petted and learning to play for treats. The rescue took me and promises to find the right home for me. I am anxious to go to my new home.
