The AZWR has many dogs that are rescued every month; not all of them are able to be listed on the website. Our goal is to match each dog to the perfect family, so we encourage you to apply even if you don't see a weimaraner right now. Applicants on our wait list receive higher priority on dogs as they are rescued.

I am NORMON. I am aprox. 16 wks old. I was found on the freeway, wandering around. I was really scary. I was only 12 wks old and never been in such a confusing busy place. A kind person stopped and pick me up and took me to a “ shelter." It was a strange place too but the nice people from AWR picked me up and my life has been a dream!

I wasn’t feeling well, very hungry, I saw the doctor got medicine, food, care and now I am looking for a home. I am well socialized and really like people and lots of attention. My foster Mom has been teaching me to sit, stay, down, walk on a leash, and stay in a crate. I don’t like that a lot because I like to go and do what they do. I play with other dogs and the cat. I am neutered, have all my shots,
